Candle warnings & instructions.

Candles are a popular source of ambiance and fragrance in homes and various settings. However, it is essential to understand the safety precautions and warnings associated with their use to prevent accidents and ensure a pleasant experience.

When using candles, it is crucial to adhere to the following safety guidelines:

1. Never Leave Candles Unattended: Always extinguish candles when leaving a room or going to sleep. Approximately 30% of candle fires occur because the candle was left unattended.

2. Keep Away from Flammable Materials: Ensure that candles are placed at least 12 inches away from anything that can catch fire, such as curtains, furniture, or paper products. This precaution can significantly reduce the risk of fire hazards.

3. Use a Stable Base: Always place candles on a sturdy, heat-resistant surface. Avoid using candles on unstable or uneven surfaces, as they can tip over and cause fires.

4. Trim Wicks: Before lighting a candle, trim the wick to about 1/4 inch. This practice helps to prevent excessive flickering and soot production, which can lead to smoke and potential fire hazards.

5. Avoid Drafts: Keep candles away from drafts, vents, and air currents. Drafts can cause uneven burning, leading to dripping wax and increased soot production.

6. Use Candle Holders: Always use appropriate candle holders that are designed to catch drips and contain the flame. Ensure that the holder is made of non-flammable materials and is stable enough to support the candle.

7. Keep Out of Reach of Children and Pets: Candles should be kept out of reach of children and pets to prevent accidental burns or fires. Educating family members about candle safety is essential for maintaining a safe environment.

8. Burning time & instructions : Burn the candle for no more than 4 hours at a time to prevent overheating. Extinguish the candle if it flickers repeatedly, smokes, or the flame becomes too high. Use a candle snuffer to safely extinguish the flame, and avoid blowing it out to prevent wax splatter.

9. Spills and overflow: All jar candles ( Dessert ) that are higher than the jar and all pillars must be placed on plate or tray designed for candles since those do spills and overflow.

In conclusion, while candles can provide a delightful sensory experience, it is imperative to prioritize safety. By following these guidelines, individuals can enjoy the benefits of candles while minimizing the risks associated with their use. Remember that safety should always come first when incorporating candles into your home or workspace.
